Dr Nihara Abdul Rasheed

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Nihara Abdul Rasheed to the Australian Institute of Migraine.
Dr. Abdul Rasheed is a highly qualified neurologist who completed her medical degree and specialized neurology training at leading hospitals in Sri Lanka. Since 2016, she has undergone extensive clinical neurology training at Western Health in Melbourne, further refining her expertise in adult general neurology. She has also gained valuable experience at Western Health, Melbourne.
Currently, Dr. Abdul Rasheed is pursuing her part time PhD at the University of Melbourne under the mentorship of Senior Neurologist and Professor Tissa Wijeratne. Her research and clinical practice focus on brain health, with a particular emphasis on migraine and its impact on patients’ lives.
Fluent in English, Sinhala, Tamil, and Arabic, Dr. Abdul Rasheed prioritizes clear communication and personalized care, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all her patients. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based neurology services that address the unique needs of each individual.
